Nowadays, coffee shop chains have become a familiar place, however, the competition for market share among coffee shop chains is increasingly fierce. Brands are forced to constantly renew themselves with marketing campaigns and new product launches to attract new customers while improving service t

o retain loyal customers. Peripheral products (also known as peripheral merchandise or branded merchandise) are becoming the new business trend of coffee shop chains. Eye-catching designed products both stimulate emotions and indirectly imprints the brand image in the minds of customers.This study s

elected the Merchandise peripheral product line of Starbucks - the world's largest coffee shop chain to conduct the survey. The survey process consists of two phases: internal and public. The internal survey used the Delphi method with a group of design industry experts in Taiwan, to predict the res

ults and provide advice to optimize the effectiveness of the large-scale survey. The public survey was conducted with 64 consumers, including those currently living in Taiwan and those familiar with the Starbucks Merchandise product line. The obtained results are coded and analyzed by SPSS software

to give the most accurate results.After surveying and collecting opinions from experts to ordinary consumers, this study concludes that the design of peripheral products affects brand equity and brand loyalty, however, the impact is not uniform in all aspects. The aspects assessed as being most stro

ngly influenced include: "Optimizing brand awareness", "Pricing higher than the average price" for brand equity; and "Triggering customers' desire to buy", "Retaining loyal customers" for brand loyalty. At the same time, the study also suggests that brands should focus on prioritizing innovation as

本研究旨在描繪與釐清開放式廚房設計對於廚師心理與行為之影響。研究問題聚焦於探討自我呈現動機、社交焦慮與工作投入間之關係。研究採取封閉式問卷與立意抽樣方式,針對開放式廚房設計餐廳之廚師進行問卷調查,共計回收有效問卷333份。研究結果顯示,自我呈現動機提高廚師之工作投入,降低廚師之社交焦慮;此外,社交焦慮降低廚師之工作投入。再者,社交焦慮中介自我呈現動機對於工作投入之影響效果。本研究同時提出經營管理意涵與未來研究之建議,希望能對餐廳人力資源管理與後繼之理論發展有所助益。
